Citizen BM8180-03E Eco-Drive The best military style canvas strap
Citizen BM8180-03E Eco-Drive Very nice Canvas Strap watch
Citizen BM8180-03E Eco-Drive is military style, classic looking timepiece that I favor the case which is a very tough little package. It is also neat and slim and sits well on the wrist. The Eco-Drive is extremely good as I’ll never need to bother about replacing batteries.
It looks better live compared with the photos. The 37 mm diameter is perfect for small wrist. The stainless case is polished for the perimeter, back, and also on the ring surrounding the crystal. The mineral crystal is still smooth and unblemished even though a couple of years.
Furthermore, I also particularly like the perfectly flat crystal, making the timepiece very clear to see. Also many Eco-Drive watches have that horrible translucent dial face (to allow for the sunshine through)but this one is super black along with a great improvement. It provides nice lume (including all the numerals on the dial) and also the hands are visible.
The Citizen BM8180-03E features a very short and narrow green strap which has been shorter and more uncomfortable than the wider black strap from the BM6400-00E. The band is 18mm wide, that is a common size. It’s made of stiff green cloth, canvas.
Great little watch that is certainly very versatile based on the strap you apply to it.

Pic above; the strap is from the Seiko SNK809, it’s actually a very comfortable strap. For me it’s kind of practical than the original Citizen strap, since that strap is too wide or too tight for my wrist.
Overall: Citizen BM8180-03E, this watch is great value and it is easy to find a cheap band to to replace it. The dial is pitch black (chrono is a lot more charcoal) and contains a similar beautiful red second-hand to the “big brother” chrono. The crystal is supposed to be hardened glass or mineral; I have discovered that in my opinion at least flat crystals allow me to look into the watch face easier.
The wrist watch was easy setting, now that I’ve look at manual for approximately 1 minute, so i likely will never need it again. This watch won’t need a new battery because it’s solar powered. The wristband is sturdy, made out of canvas with grommets to the different positions of the clasp. if the type of rustic band is replaced with a good steel mesh one.
This watch is an excellent everyday watch which is reliable, durable, and as well economical.
